About Me
Jacob Horne is the founder of Idle Hands Arcade and a lifelong Gainesville resident. A 2012 graduate of Johnson High School, Jacob created Idle Hands as a way to give back to the community that shaped him — and to provide something he always wished existed growing up: a safe, inclusive space where teens and young adults could explore, connect, and thrive.

With a focus on accessibility, STEM enrichment, and creative tech, Idle Hands blends play and purpose to serve students of all backgrounds — especially those in special education or underserved communities.

Jacob believes in full transparency, fair wages, and reinvesting every dollar into people and programs. Idle Hands isn’t built for profit — it’s built for impact
